found: Edward Small genealogy WWW, Dec. 16, 2008(Chief "Nick Sumbe"; Chief "Nick Sumbe" or "Wesumbe" by the English, called Captain Sandy, conveyed to Francis Small the entire Ossipee tract of land 256,000 acres in 1668. Probably no deed in the entire territory included in the present State of Maine has been the cause of so many lawsuits. For some unknown reason this deed was not recorded until Aug. 28, 1773, nearly one hundred and five years after it was executed. Francis deeded the land to son Samuel (3), Apr. 30, 1711, recorded Aug. 28, 1773)

WWW, Dec. 23, 2008(Captain Sunda, an Indian Chief of the Ossipee Tribe; in 1663 Captain Sunda, faithful to his promise, met Small in Saco, and deeded him the Ossipee tract, towns now know as Cornish, Parsonsfield, Newfield, Limerick, Limington, and Shapleigh to indemnify him for his loss)
