He is also Director of the Centre for Object Technology and Applications at University of Technology Sydney. Henderson-Sellers has received a BSc and A.R.C.S. in Mathematics from the Imperial College London in 1972, a MSc from the Reading University in 1973, and a PhD from Leicester University in 1976. From 1976 to 1983 he was a lecturer in the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Salford in England and from 1983 at the department of mathematics. In 1988 he emigrated to Australia and became associate professor in the school of Information Systems at the University of New South Wales.
