    • found: Wikipedia, December 21, 2015: The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina (The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, commonly referred to simply as The Citadel, is a state-supported, comprehensive college located in Charleston, South Carolina; one of only 2 American colleges requiring all undergraduates (except veterans and active duty military) to be a member of the corps of cadets and enroll in ROTC; began in the early 1800s with the establishment of state arsenals in Charleston, South Carolina and Columbia, South Carolina. These arsenals would come to be military schools comprising the South Carolina Military Academy. After the Civil War, only the Charleston location reopened, known as The Citadel Academy. Renamed in 1910 as The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina)
    • found: Brief history of The Citadel, via The Citadel website, December 21, 2015 ("By 1910 enrollment at the Citadel had steadily increased to 242 Cadets, bringing the Citadel to full capacity. In order to accommodate the large number of Cadets and officers, the General Assembly approved construction of a fourth story to the Citadel which was completed in 1911. Believing the term 'academy' was no longer appropriate for a college level institution, the General Assembly accepted the recommendation of the Board of Visitors to change the Academy's name to 'The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina.' Also in 1910, the General Assembly granted the Board of Visitors the authority to award the degree of civil engineer to graduates.")
