A Ukrainian military formation in the German armed forces during World War II. It was formed on 04-28-1944. The division consisted of 2 infantry regiments, plus other units, in all numbering from 15,000 to 18, 000 soldiers. It first saw action in 1944 as part of the German XIII Army Corps. In April 1945 the division was formally attached to the Ukrainian National Army (established March, 1945). During Germany's capitulation most of the division's troops (some 10,000) surrendered to the British. After the war most of these former soldiers emigrated to North America)
