found: University of Colorado Boulder Archives(Ira Benjamin Current was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado on October 30, 1910. While earning a bachelor's degree in chemistry from the University of Colorado, he was a student photographer for the CU Theatre department. After graduating in 1934, he went to work at the photography company Agfa Ansco in Binghamton, New York. After World War II, he went back to work for Agfa Ansco. He managed a department that was involved with evaluation and standards for all sensitized products and equipment and was the head of the Industrial Photo Division before retiring in 1972. After retirement Current began teaching at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). There he taught color printing theory and materials, and the processes of photography. He died on May 19, 2009 at age 98.)
