His career started at Washington's Spokane Gem Theater in 1911 and at the Casino Theatre, then at the Strand in San Francisco and the Mission Theatre in Los Angeles. In the 1920s he played at the Chicago Theater until the 1926 when he was hired to perform at New York City's Paramount Theater (1926-1933).)
