- found: Wikipedia (German), viewed Aug 6, 2019(Karl Friedrich Kretschmann, also: the bard Rhingulph [no publications in OCLC] (born December 4, 1738 in Zittau ; died January 15 (or 16 [? or 19?] 1809 in Zittau ) was a German poet, comedy writer and jurist. On May 9, 1757 he started law studies at the University of Wittenberg, which he completed in 1762 with a doctorate. In Wittenberg in 1759 he became a member of the German society ("Deutschen Gesellschaft") and published anonymously dramatic arrangements and translations, later followed by comedies. He gained literary fame as a poet of contemporary and anachronistic poetry and turned to the historic mystifying bardsong)
