found: Dictionary of Canadian Biography online, 14 Aug. 2014(La Corne, Louis de, known as the Chevalier de La Corne; officer in the colonial regular troops; born 6 June 1703 at Fort Frontenac (Kingston, Ont.); died 15 November 1761 in the sinking of the Auguste; confusion about the identity of Louis de La Corne has arisen because of the variety of names given to him - he is referred to in his 1703 private baptism and 1728 marriage contract as "Louis", in a 1733 notarial deed as "Jean-Louis", in an official act of 1748 as "Pierre", in most contemporary sources as simply the "Chevalier de La Corne", whilst secondary sources also use "Louis-Luc" and "Louis-François")
