The books is in five sections: Tehran, Mashad, Yazd, Shiraz, and Isfahan. The section titles are printed in English and Farsi. A different typeface is used for each author.
"The prints are etchings and lino-cuts with aquatint, dry-point, and carborundum. The paper is hand made; for the letterpress Barcham Green RWS, and for the prints Richard de Bas"--Colophon.
Bound in blue, yellow, black, and natural goatskin. Inlay work includes a translucent waxed paper which lets the title, in English and Farsi, show through. In a clamshell box covered in blue cloth.
