Summary
Sue Graham, a small-town girl and would-be movie star, wins a beauty contest through a mix-up and goes to Hollywood. Upon arriving, she learns that there is no work for her except in the wardrobe department, which she takes. Meanwhile, her parents and her boyfriend, Dave Giddings, follow her to California, where the Grahams are bilked out of their life's savings. Sue, while still trying to crash the movies, is determined to recover the money for them, which she does, aided by Dave. Among Sue's comic misadventures is a scene where she finds herself walking a lion around the studio lot.
