Summary
The Lightning Raider has secured the vial of deadly germs Wu Fang intended for the district attorney. She has been wounded and she has shot and wounded Wu Fang who still escapes. The Wasp is sent to spy on a recovered Wu Fang but is discovered and severely wounded. The Wasp manages to return to Lightning and Tom who nurse him. Hop Sing, Wu's lieutenant, is picked up by police and grilled but remains loyal to Wu Fang. The police then send Hop Sing back to Wu Fang with a promise of immunity if he helps them catch Lightning. Wu Fang rewards Hop Sing with money to buy the opium he desires. Hop Sing's opium jag lands him in the hospital where Lightning has come to find a doctor for the failing Wasp. The hospital staff dismiss Hop Sing's ravings about Lightning but she realizes she must stop the district attorney from seeing Wu Fang. After a doctor tends to the Wasp, Lightning succeeds in overpowering the district attorney in his office. When Wu Fang enters the office, Lightning secures a written confession from him by threatening him with the deadly germs. He then escapes again.
