Gen. MacArthur announced that American bombers flew from the Philippines stroke Formosa (Taiwan), e.g., a plane manufacturing company in Suao, a train station in Hualien, and Macon in Penghu. American took off from Ryukyu, bombed an oil refinery in central Korea; in China: Hangchou Bay, and Japanese facilites in Fuchou. Also mentioned: the 'Big Three', Truman, Churchill and Stalin, met in Potsdam to decide Europe's fate.
