Summary
Film and audiotape of Mississippi folk blues singer Scott Dunbar recorded by Frederic Ramsey, Jr. on unidentified date(s). Portions of this material were incorporated into the ABC News documentary program, "Anatomy of Pop: The Music Explosion," telecast on February 15, 1966. Frederic Ramsey, Jr. assisted in production (as writer, co-producer, or film director) of television news documentaries including the "Anatomy of Pop" program "American music -- from folk to jazz and pop." Beginning in 1951, Mr. Ramsey took trips through the southern United States to study, photograph, and record people and places related to beginnings and development of African American music in the United States. In 1953 and 1955, Ramsey received Guggenheim Fellowships to study and record African American music in Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana.
