Summary
Collection of original film footage and sync audio reels made for a documentary on the Ponca singer Harry Buffalohead. The recordings were made in 1991 at the White Eagle (Oklahoma) pow wow, with Buffalohead at the lead drum. The documentary, filmed in 1991 and 1993, was made by Elizabeth Rich and Tim Caster with a professional crew of the Ponca Tribe of Oklahoma. The edited film, "Harry Buffalohead Singer of Traditions" (1994) was focused on the tribe's pow wow at White Eagle. Harry Buffalohead, who passed away in 1992, invited Rich to film what would be his last time as head singer at the drum.
