Summary
Two audiocassettes, four CDs, and forty-one pages of manuscripts documenting Klondike gold rush, cowboy, and logging songs from Dawson, Alaska, and the state of Alaska. The collector, Paul Roseland, performs all songs. CDs include: "Alaska Folk Songs: 1864-1977," "Gold Rush Collections: 1849-1941," "Traditional Cowboy Songs: 1880s-1950s," and "Traditional Logging Songs: 1853-1930." The two audiocassettes are unpublished versions or earlier recordings of what appears on two of the CDs. The manuscripts consist of lists, melodic and textual transcription, notes, and photographs.
