Summary
This book is not about gender as such but about the diversity that arises from having an increased awareness of the feminine and masculine characteristics of both sexes. The authors discuss: Status of the gender equality situation in Denmark. The Danish maternity system. The expectations for the leadership role. The balance between the number of men and women at the top. Women's leadership ambitions. Equal pay and wage gap. Lack of talented women. Gender differences between men and women. The man's perspective. Our notion of what is masculine and what is feminine stands in the way of possibilities and perspectives we cannot imagine. In the women's struggle, we have overlooked that the conditions of men and women are intertwined. As long as we create families together and form relationships, our actions and choices will influence each other. So it is not enough just to talk about what women should do differently or what men should do differently. It's no longer just a women's struggle, it is a common concern.
