Summary
Angelique, known as Angel, moves from France to the United States to marry American architect, John Smith. The newlyweds set up housekeeping in Los Angeles, California. She tries her best to be a good housewife but sometimes runs into problems as she learns English and adapts to her new life and culture. Susie tells Angel that there comes a time in every marriage when the "honeymoon period" is over, Angel insists that it will not happen to her and Johnny. Meanwhile, at the office, Johnny recieves a phone call from an IRS agent, who requests a meeting to go over his tax return. Worried, Johnny forgets to make his daily phone call to Angel. When he arrives home preoccupied and uncommunicative, Angel fears that Susie's prediction is coming true
