"Cultural tourism has notably experienced a burgeoning growth over the recent years. The notion of culture has been widely studied in the social sciences, and of course, it occupies a central position in the tourist system. Anyway, culture is a concept very hard to grasp. Cultural tourism is today facing serious challenges which should be discussed. The present book deals with 8 high quality chapters that address the problem of heritage and cultural tourism in the new normal. Cultural tourism situates as an opportunity for recovering tourism after the COVID-19 pandemic but, at the same time, it is a source of conflict among stakeholders.
