Consists of selections from the following series: STAATSKANZLEI: Diplomatic reports (1756-1863), mainly relating to America, from England, Italy, Germany, Denmark, Holland, the United States, Russia, Sweden, Switzerland, Spain, and Belgium, many of which relate to the American Revolution. ADMINISTRATIVE REGISTRATUR: Dispatches from the Austrian Minister in Washington to the Ministry of Foreign Affaires at Vienna; special convolutes on Austrian emigration to the United States, on Italian emigration to the United States, and on extradition; and papers on the protection of foreign nationals from general conscription in the United States; and negotiations on a naturalization convention (1861-1870).
