Jackson, John Andrew John Andrew Jackson, a colored teacher, who has labored some months under the auspices of the Freedmen's Bureau, in the work of education among the blacks of the South, will speak at [blank] Evening, [blank] he is endeavoring to secure funds for the erection of a school house in Darlington, South Carolina. There will be singing on the occasion. (Mr. Jackson was a resident of Salem in 1849-50, and was obliged to flee here on account of the Slave law.) A friend of the freedmen will occupy the chair. Admission 25 cents. Lecture will commence at 7 1-2 o' clock
