After 35 years of "swinging" Detective Sergeant Richard "Dick" Cox of the Washington Police Department, has been crowned champion Indian Club Swinger of the World. He was awarded the honor in New York City after competing with other experts for the title left vacant by the recent death Gus Hill, well known sportsman and promoter. After being given up as a hopeless case because of lung trouble when he was 12 years old, Cox was started at his "swinging" by his father.
