found: Her website, Mar. 15, 2017(Ana Galán ; I was born in Oviedo, Spain, on September 3, 1964. In 1987, I became a Doctor in Veterinary Medicine at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. While in New York I met a wonderful person who later became my husband and I decided not to return to Spain. Two years later, after our first son was born, I decided to stay home with him and enjoy being a mother. That's when I started working on translations and children's books. From 1999 to 2008 I worked for Scholastic. During those years, I also wrote several children's books that were published by Kumquat Ediciones, a very special publishing company in Argentina.)
