found: E-mail message from Special Collections Research Center, Temple University Libraries, June 2, 2014(We hold the personal papers of Abraham L. Freedman, a lawyer and judge from Philadelphia. There is no documentation in his personal papers that supports the notion that Abraham L. Freedman's middle initial stands for the name Lincoln. Per a conversation with Abraham L. Freedman's son, Robert L. Freedman, the middle initial does not stand for Lincoln or any other legally or religiously assigned name. The elder Freedman informally adopted the middle initial L to differentiate himself from other lawyers with the same given name and surname)
