found: NUCMC data from Worcester Historical Museum for United Congregational Church collection, 1835-2010(Plymouth Church; first service held May 9, 1869 in Mechanics Hall and continued there for 4 years; On. Apr. 18, 1872 congregation voted to build a church on the Brown lot, corner of Pearl and Chestnut streets; half the congregation did not support the location so they separated from the church to form Piedmont Church. The new building was dedicated Apr. 29, 1875. In 1936 it merged with Piedmont and Union Churches to become Chestnut Street Congregational Church)
