found: NUCMC data from Perkins School for the Blind Archives for His Collection, 1891-1924(Stringer was born in Washington, Pa., on July 3, 1886 and became deafblind after contracting spinal meningitis in infancy. Assisted by Helen Keller, he became an active child interested in many subjects; he lived at Perkins for several years; after 1913, he lived with Mr. Lee Edgarton until Stringer's death in 1945 (in Fulton, N.Y.). Collection contains samples of his square handwriting and other documents relating to his life)
