The name Edwin was given to a previous child who had died, but for all of his preaching life he was known as Foy E. Wallace, Jr. While a student at Thorp Springs, Texas he preached his first sermon. Editor of the gospel advocate in Nashville, Tennessee. He was the author of more than a dozen books. In 1979 he moved Hereford, Texas to be near his son Wilson and his family. He developed a blood condition, contracted hepatitis from a blood transfusion and passed from this life December 18, 1979. He had preaached at the Central Church of Christ in Hereford on Sunday two weeks before he died.)
