It includes the College of Engineering, the Engineering Experiment Station, the School of Mines, the Mining Experiment Station, and the Division of Industrial Research and Extension. Each of these participating divisions retains its own identity and its own program of teaching or research. It is the function of the Institute to integrate the work of these divisions in the interest of maximum over-all efficiency in research, teaching, and service to the people of the state.
