Webb and Richard Ritter Fernandez served as co-dir. from office in Cambridge, Mass.; terminated officially on Sept. 20, 1967; over 26,000 volunteers in hundreds of cities participated in the project by canvassing, counseling on draft resistance, holding teach-ins, conducting local demonstrations, and disseminating anti-war literature)
