found: Alberto Giolitti, comic book artist (website), viewed Feb. 12, 2018(born in Rome November 14, 1923; his family owned the Caffè-Gelateria Giolitti there; at age 14 he brought his drawings to the Publishing House A.V.E. (Anonima Veritas Editrice), Rome; studied art and design in high school, contined at Academy of Art and Architecture until his studies were interrupted for military service; returned to A.V.E. Publishing after the war; in 1946 he emigrated to Argentina, working for Editorial Lainez and Columbia Hermanos in Buenos Aires; in 1949 emigrated to New York, collaborating with Dell Publishing, publisher of Dell Comics; Dell did finance and distribution for Western Publishing (Wisconsin), and Giolitti worked with them for 33 years; after a short stay in Rome in 1953 he returned to the US, married Joan [surname not given], and became an American citizen; returned to Rome with his family in 1962, continuing to work for [publisher in] the US); founded the "Giolitti Studios", an editorial agency of writers and comic book artists for the international market; in 1968 he started drawing comic books inspired by Star Trek television series; died in Rome April 15, 1993)
