Graduated in agricultural engineering at the Escola Superior de la Mancomunitat de Catalunya (Higher School of the Commonwealth of Catalonia), he was state agricultural expert, 1920. Technical engineer for agriculture and fisheries (1967) and director of the Institut Agrícola Català de Sant Isidre (1940) and of the national horticultural movement the Foment Nacional d'Horticultura (National Horticulture Development)(1930). Member of the Acadèmia de Belles Arts de Sant Jordi (St.George Academy of Fine Arts) As commissioner for Provincial d'Excavacions Arqueològiques (Provincial Archaeological Excavations) for Barcelona, he promoted excavations of Iberian remains on the mountain of Montjuïc (1946), directed by Josep de C.Serra i Ràfols, with whom he wrote Excavaciones en Santa María de Egara (Excavations at Santa María de Egara) (Madrid, 1938). On his own property of Sant-romà (Tiana), he directed the excavations of a Roman villa. Head of the archaeological and prehistory section of the newspaper "La Vanguardia".
