A third collection, Salvation Army Songs, followed in 1878, from which time the term 'song' has generally replaced 'hymn' in Salvation Army music. Music was never intended to become a major feature of the Salvation Army, but from the beginning the movement attracted a number of individuals who were also instrumentalists.)
