found: Wikipedia, September 2, 2020(William Chauncey Fowler; William Chauncey Fowler (born September 1, 1793 in Killingworth, now Clinton, Connecticut.; died January 15, 1881 in Durham, Connecticut) was an American scholar; he graduated from Yale College in 1816; on August 31, 1825, he was ordained pastor of the Congregational Church in Greenfield, Mass.; in 1827 he accepted the appointment of Professor of Chemistry and Natural History at Middlebury College, Vermont, where he remained until 1838, when he went to Amherst College, Massachusetts., as Professor of Rhetoric; he resigned this professorship in 1843, but continued to reside in Amherst until 1858, when he moved to Durham, Connecticut; he died in Durham in 1881; he was married to Harriet Webster, daughter of Dr. Noah Webster)
