found: Wikipedia, French version, October 29, 2019(Philippe de Golbéry, born 1 May 1786 in Colmar, Alsace; died 5 June 1854 in Kientzheim, Haut-Rhin; French jurist and politician; author of many publications, mostly on antiquity, the history of Alsace, and the preservation of historical buildings; son of a member of the conseil souverain d'Alsace; studied first in Germany, then Paris; under the Empire, he enrolled in a unit of the Garde nationale, obtaining the rank of lieutenant; became a lawyer in 1808; in 1813 he was named imperial procurer in Colmar; took up arms again upon invasion of France; after the defeat of Waterloo, he resigned and returned to the bar; he entered politics with the revolution of 1830; in 1833 he was elected member of the conseil général du Haut-Rhin; in December 1834 he was one of the founders of the Société française pour l'abolition de l'esclavage; in 1841 he was named procurer general to the royal court of Besançon; named first honorary president of the cour d'appel de Besançon; left his functions in 1847 following a grave illness; died in his château in Kientzheim, age 68)
