found: Subtraction.com, via WWW, August 29, 2012(Khoi Vinh; [email protected]; born December 3, 1971 in Saigon, Vietnam; immigrated to the United States with his family three and a half years later; grew up in Gaithersburg, Maryland; moved to Orange County, California and attended the Otis College of Art and Design, majoring in communication design with a focus on illustration; by the time he graduated in 1993, he had already decided to become a graphic designer; in the years following, he worked in traditional print design, but in 1998 he moved to New York and began practicing design almost exclusively for the Web and other interactive media; in 2001, he and several colleagues founded Behavior, a design studio, which he helped manage and run until December 31, 2005; In 2006, he became Design Director for NYTimes.com, where he remade the way design is practiced at The New York Times; in early 2011, he co-founded Lascaux Co., and in November 2011 they launched Mixel for iPad, the world's first social collage app; he has owned the domain Subtraction.com since 1997; he currently lives in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn)
