Studied at the National Academy of Design. Best known for illustrating the covers of "Film fun magazine"; he became its exclusive cover artist until it ceased in 1943. He continued to illustrate for pulp books and magazines including "Breezy stories," "Pep," and "New York nights." None of his work was signed and most of it remains unattributed. He also worked for the advertising industry, creating illustrations for many products, including Sun-Maid raisins and Zippo lighters. Psychological problems ended his professional career in 1943 and confined him to Greystone Hospital in New Jersey until his discharge in 1969)
