found: Woodstock Letters, vol. 19, 1890:pages 259-263 (Born in Florence, Italy on March 20, 1816; entered the novitiate on 30th October 1836 ; was the student of Caraffa, Jesuit professor of higher mathematics and mathematical physics at the Roman College ; became the assistant director of the Observatory of the Roman College until 1848 ; was ordained priest in 1845. Due to the Italian Revolution in 1848, was sent to Georgetown to work in its observatory as an astronomer and also taught mathematics and the natural sciences to the scholastics ; "designed and painted the ceiling of the Woodstock Library", which depicts the solar system according to Copernicus; founding editor for Messenger of the Sacred Heart, a post which he gave up in 1885. He died on the 17th of January 1890)
