[Bartolomeo Visconti (1402-1457) was Bishop of Novaro. He hired Enea Silvio Piccolomini (later Pope Pius II) as his secretary, and participated in the Council of Basel. He joined the resultant schism and became involved with Antipope Felix V, but later rejoined the episcopate of Pope Eugene IV and served as ambassador to Alfonso of Aragon.]
