Bands were terminated from federal recognition in 1954, except for the Cedar Band which received no federal assistance, consequently suffering de facto termination. The federal trust relationship was restored to all five bands which constitute the Paiute Indian Tribe of Utah on Apr. 3, 1980 via the Paiute Restoration Act, P.L. 96-227)
