found: Waldo L. Semon Papers, 1926-1990(Waldo L. Semon began working as a research chemist at the B.F. Goodrich Company in Akron, Ohio in 1926. During his career, he served in several director positions within the company including Director of Synthetic Rubber Research (1936-1943), Director of Pioneer Research (1942-1954), and Director of Corporate Forward Technology and Basic Exploratory Research (1962-1963). After his retirement in October 1963 he continued on at BFG as Research Consultant and also accepted a position as part-time Research Professor at Kent State University in Kent, Ohio. Noteable research breakthroughs attributed to Semon include the invention of Koroseal, a highly polymerized vinyl chloride (1927) and the synthetic rubber compound Ameripol (1940).)
