Later worked in Lexington, Ky. for Pruden's marble yard carving headstones and monuments. Taught sculpture and sculpted busts and statues of Cassius Clay, Andrew Jackson and many of Henry Clay, among many others. Moved to Italy in 1849 where he lived in Florence for the rest of his life. Died March 2, 1877)
