found: Bartók, B. Works for piano solo. VII [SR] p2001:container (Rhapsody, op. 1 (long version, BB 36a)) insert (Written for piano solo, 1904, the so-called long version was premiered by Bartók in May 1905; in Aug. 1905, he took this version, added a new introduction, and scored it as a concerto (BB36b), premiered as Morceau de concert but later printed as Rhapsodie pour le piano et orchestre op. 1 and called deuxième version. This compositional sequence has been confused by the work's publication history: the shortened version of the full solo piano piece, the 1st slow part, was published, perhaps as a promotional edition, by Bartók's new Hungarian publisher, Rózsavőlgyi, in 1908; 2 years later, it published the concerto version, and finally, in 1923, the 1st version, the solo long version; therefore, the short version has been erroneously referenced as the original form of the work.)
