N. Laralde, each day for the purpose of buying and selling securities; they organized formally on March 11, 1885 with the first session held the next day; they incorporated as a not-for-profit corporation on March 31, 1887; the purpose of the Exchange was to maintain and conduct a Stock Exchange, to furnish the exchange room and facilities for the convenient transactions of the member broker's business; in 1934 the Securities and Exchange Act became effective and the Cincinnati Stock Exchange was then registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission as a National Securities Exchange; this put the Exchange under the supervision of the United States Securities and Exchange Commission)
