Diana was raise in Calcutta and received her education in a local convent and became fluent in Armenian, English and Sanskrit. She was an Armenian writer, and ambassador to Japan of the First Republic of Armenia (1918-1920). She was the first Armenian woman diplomat. Her services were terminated after Armenia became a part of the Soviet Union in 1920.)
