found: PPPrHi files(Presbytery of Louisville; also known as Louisville Presbytery; erected in Kentucky, 1815 by the Presbyterian Church in the U.S.A. from a portion of the Presbytery of Transylvania; adhered to the Old School during the schism (1838-1869); a group of churches broke away in 1866 and formed a Presbytery of Louisville under the independent Synod of Kentucky (1866-1869); the remainder of the Presbytery stayed in the Old School; Paducah Presbytery was merged into it during the reorganization of 1870, as was the Presbytery of Muhlenburg in 1879; it also absorbed the formerly Cumberland Presbytery of Louisville A in 1908; it dissolved in 1949 and its churches were divided between the presbyteries of Western Kentucky and Transylvania)
