- found: Ansche Chesed website, viewed November 16, 2020Ansche Chesed (Ansche Chesed was founded in 1829 by a group of German, Dutch, and Polish Jews who had seceded from Cong. B'nai Jeshurun. By the mid-19th century, it was dominated by Jews of German origin. It started out in rented rooms on the Lower East Side on Grand Street, moved to Norfork Street, then East 63rd and Lexington Ave. In 1908 it moved to a neo-classical building in Harlem at 114th St. and 7th Ave. (now Adam Clayton Powell Blvd.) In 1927 the congregation began building a permanent home at West End Ave. and 100th Street on the Upper West Side. It is still in use as a synagogue hosting a variety of separate minyanim, and calls itself an "egalitarian, Conservative synagogue.") - https://anschechesed.org/about/history/
