found: Work cat.: Faughart, Co. Louth : the hill heroes, saints, battles and boundaries, 2007:p. 2 (Faughart Hill is c. 4km north of the town of Dundalk. At 133m OD it is a relatively low hill ..., but its strategic location ... has given it added archaeological and historical significance. Faughart Hill itself is a drumlin formation, roughly oval in plan, with a ridge extending in an east-west direction and currently transversed by a road.)
found: Faughart Tourist information www site, 7 may 2008(Situated three miles north of Dundalk, the hill of Faughart stands out to the north-west for the north bound travellers and can be approached by country road, turning left off the N1 two miles from Dundalk. This is one of the great historical sites of north Louth, scene of several incidents in the Tain Bo Cuailgne, the archaeology of which indicated remnants of an Iron age hill fort, an early Christian ecclesiastical foundation associated with St. Brigid, a Norman motte- castle and a medieval church ruin. St. Brigid's well can be found in the graveyard.)
