TitleTeacher and scholar meet again. Washington, D.C., April 1. Memories of school days were recalled today when Dean Harry M. Bates of the Michigan Law School, faced Senator Henry F. Ashurst, Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, across the witness table in voicing his opposition against the President's court reform plan. Senator Ashurst was a student in Dean Bates' (right) law class at Michigan in 1903. As he and Dean Bates met, Senator Ashurst said: "If I have made a failure at law, I'm going to blame it on you," 4/1/1937NotePhysical details: glass Applies To: Applies To: all Title from unverified data received with the Harris & Ewing Collection on the negative or negative sleeve.General information about the Harris & Ewing Collection is available atCould not render: bf:electronicLocatorDimensions4 x 5 in. or smallerExtent1 negativeProvision ActivityPublication: United States 1937 Publication: 1937 April 1 Usage And Access PolicyNo known restrictions on publication.
