The Frederick Stegmaier Mansion in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania Before it was owned by the city's prominent brewer, the mansion was constructed by local architect Missouria B. Houpt in 1870. Houpt lived there with his family until 1906, when his friend Abran Nesbitt bought the property. Frederick Stegmaier bought the home for his family seven years later. Now (as of 2019) a bed-and-breakfast inn open to tours, the mansion features French Chateau exterior and a mix of Gothic Revival and Aesthetic Movement details inside
