Title
A portion of the Minnesota Veterans Home, once called the Minnesota Soldiers' Home, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The Minnesota Legislature authorized the establishment of the Soldiers' Home in 1887 as a "reward to the brave and deserving" veterans who served on the Union side in the American Civil War of the 1860s. There are now (as of 2019) five veterans' home sites in Minnesota
