Gardner's compositions are published by the E.C. Schirmer-Galaxy Music Publishers of Boston, MA and Whatif Music Company of Amarillo, TX. A native of Amarillo, he began piano study at the age of five and gave his first recital at age seven. He is a self-taught composer and songwriter, pianist, guitarist, and baritone. He has held professional positions ranging from Instructor of Jazz to Music Director of Opera at New England Conservatory, the Juilliard School, Texas Women's University, and West Texas A&M University. Gardner is currently Director of Music at St. Thomas Church in Amarillo.)
